System Behaviors 1

This chapter describes further behaviours of systems and function blocks that occur in control loops. The chapter “Behaviours” is split into two subchapters for structural reasons only.

Important note: the letter “s” is used for seconds. In control engineering, the letter “s” gets another important meaning, which is explained in the subchapter Laplace transform. To avoid confusion, in this tutorial examples from now on always calculate in minutes instead of seconds. This also applies to the exam. So if you see an “s” in a problem, it is generally not a second.
